20 Years

I can't believe I have been out of high school for 20 years!! It was so great to see everyone at our 20th year reunion this past weekend. Everyone looks pretty much the same....just "wiser":) We had a visit from our very own Bulldog mascot! All hail the brown and white!

Autherson Family Reunion

Wow.....32 years had gone by since the Autherson's held a family reunion, and here it was. Tons of people that I'm related to that I didn't know existed. Simply weird!! Most of these people are offspring of my Grandpa Autherson's brothers and sisters. I guess my "family" is bigger than I thought!

Hannah Montana

I took Grace 2 1/2 hours North of here to take a tour of Hannah Montana's tour bus! Here she is standing near the bedroom where Hannah's parents sleep on the bus. You can see one of Hannah's wigs, her guitar, and several of her clothing items in the background. Grace got her hair "rocked out" while there also. Fun mom/daugher day!

Arlington West

I had seen a documentary on Arlington West, and was happy to get the opportunity to see this exhibit in person, proudly displayed next to the Santa Monica Pier by Veterans for Peace. Each white cross represents a fallen American soldier in Iraq, and each red cross represents 10 fallen soldiers. The mock caskets represent the number of soldiers killed that particular week in Iraq, which was 7 when we were there. What a beautiful tribute to the men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. I also visited the Los Angeles National Cemetary, where my nephew, Daniel Cagle, was laid to rest in May of 2007, after being killed in Iraq by an IED.

Little do you know....

...where this pic was taken! This was high atop the ferris wheel on the famous Santa Monica Pier in fabulous Los Angeles! They are so happy to be on vacation:)
